Build, design, and create in Woodworking Workshop, a hands-on enrichment experience led by professional carpenter and audio builder Pete. Combining craftsmanship, creativity, and practical skill-building, this class introduces students to the rewarding process of transforming raw wood into beautifully crafted, functional projects.
Working with real woodworking tools and techniques in a safe, guided environment, students will learn the fundamentals of measuring, sanding, assembling, shaping, and finishing their creations. Each project encourages thoughtful planning, patience, precision, and problem-solving while fostering confidence through hands-on achievement.
Drawing from years of professional experience, Pete introduces students to the artistry and engineering behind fine woodworking, inspiring them to appreciate both the creative and technical sides of the craft.
Each class will go from the week of September 14th until the week of December 18th. We offer pickup from PS84 and PS132 everyday at 2:30pm. The classes run from 4-5pm, with pickup at 5pm. We also offer extended days until 6pm at an additional cost.
